The Community of Madrid and Google Spain have signed a collaboration agreement to facilitate access by schools to tools provided by this company such as Workspace for Education with the aim of contributing to the improvement of digital competence for more than 600,000 students.

Specifically, by virtue of the agreement, the almost 1,700 public centers in the Community will be able to benefit from the technological solution Workspace for Education, in its basic version, a package of tools designed to allow teachers and students to innovate and learn together. informed the regional government in a statement.

As a complement to the tools that make up the EducaMadrid corporate platform, more than 600,000 Madrid students in Early Childhood, Primary, Secondary and Baccalaureate Education will be able to benefit from these services. The objective is to stimulate the advancement and development of teaching programs in educational centers , in relation to the latest software innovations in the information technology sector.

Likewise, it seeks to promote the development of the knowledge society through an advanced environment in these centers and digital literacy. For this, workshops and trainings related to the digital project of educational establishments will be held, respecting current regulations in the field of data protection.

The training activities will be carried out in a collaborative and coordinated manner between the General Directorate of Bilingualism and Quality of Teaching of the Community
